Coronavirus Update

Information as of october 26, 2020

Cucamonga School District Families,

The safety of our students, staff, and families is paramount as the Cucamonga School District makes important decisions about returning to in-person instruction.  We are grateful to you, our parents, and your partnership and dedication to the safety and well-being of all Cucamonga students and our employees during this public health crisis.

As a reminder, our plan for the reopening of schools is dependent on local COVID-19 data, and where Cucamonga falls on the “Colored tier” set forth by the Governor as outlined on California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.   Current COVID-19 data is keeping us in the most restrictive PURPLE tier (Widespread) and has been slightly increasing over the past few weeks.

Based on this data, and the need to ensure the safety of our students and staff, the Cucamonga School District has determined to keep our schools closed through December 2020.  Only small cohorts of students will be allowed to attend campuses on a limited basis.  We will continue to monitor data from the CDC and SBCDPH.  When the data shows that we have dropped down two colored tiers, and remain in the orange/yellow colored tiers, we can consider reopening schools in a Hybrid model (smaller groups of students attending campus every other day).

Our commitment to a successful 2020-2021 school year for our students is unwavering.  Thank you for your partnership and shared determination to making this school year a success for our students. Despite the uncertainties of this global pandemic, our school district staff, teachers and administrators have put extensive work into developing programs that will continue to provide excellent education for our students.
